In 2004, the hotel owner started his own fresh produce farm, to supply guests at his hotels with organically grown fruits and vegetables, in addition to providing jobs for 10 to15 people.


Detailed description of the Caring for the Destination Initiative: 


In 2004, the hotel owner Yusuf Yigitoglu started his own fresh produce farm, to supply guests at his two hotels with organically grown fruits and vegetables. The farm also provides jobs for 10 to 15 people of Ortahisar village, where it is located.

All produce from the farm is consumed by the guests of the two hotels operated by the owner, and is not sold for commercial purposes.

The 100,000 m2 farm has a private well on the premises, which supplies all the water for agriculture. Grapes, apples, potatoes, tomatoes, onions, apricots and salad greens are some of the major crops grown here throughout the year.
